GENERAL CAUTIONS REGARDING THE FURNITURE CLEANING

For your convenience during the use of furniture manufactured with our fabrics, we have prepared the set of information regarding the means of maintenance. Below, you can find the general advices regarding the cleaning of the upholstered furniture. You can find also the information regarding the characteristics of the fabric in the form of icons, placed by DEKOMA on the sampler labels.

Just like others materials, all kinds of fabrics used on every-day basis, e.g. upholstery is subject to dirt and dust. You should take care for you upholstery, to assure its good look.
This is why, we have created the general advices regarding the cleaning of the upholstered furniture.

General advices regarding the cleaning of the upholstered furniture.

Dry cleaning:
 

• Regularly vacuum-clean the upholstery using the nozzle for cleaning the furniture.
• The vacuum-cleaner should be set on the low power level.

Wet cleaning:
 

•  If for the cleaning you use the other detergents, we recommend to test the detergent on the invisible places of the furniture to avoid the unpleasant surprises with discoloration of the upholstery.
• You should always start the cleaning from the side and move towards the center of the dirt to avoid the propagation of the stain.
• Avoid severe friction of the fabric and don't use the sharp sponge or the dish-cloth. 
• Dried soils, such as foot residues, remove with the spoon, spatula, etc. Avoid using the sharp tools.
• Don't put to much pressure on the fabric. Gently clean the furniture and let it dry slowly. 
• After finishing the cleaning, wait until the upholstery completely dries.
• Always clean the whole furniture, not only the stain.

This suggestion applies for all kinds of fabrics.

Washing:

•  Always wash the fabrics according to product maintenance instructions, using the delicate washing cycle.
• Wash the upholstery in the upside-down with closed zip fasteners.
• If the upholstery contains the moist, stretch it on both sides.
• Dry in the room temperature, don't use any kinds of dryers.
• Iron the fabric through the cotton cloth, if the maintenance instruction allows to do so, best on the left side.
• Use neutral washing detergents.
• Don't wash the upholstery with other fabrics, and avoid to use the abrasive and softening deterrents.
